This Memorial Day, let's remember and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. It's a day to reflect on their courage and dedication, not just to celebrate the start of summer. Let's show our gratitude and appreciation for all they did for our country. Happy Memorial Day, Commodores!

Bats help us in so many ways, so let's help them! Bat boxes are an easy way to provide bats additional shelter that is safe for them. Scan the QR code to get a step-by-step guide to build your own bat box! #Batchat #Bringbackthebats

Even when bats take off the winter to hibernate, they still need our help! We can protect hibernating bats by taking proper safety precautions, avoiding closed off caves, and being aware of white nose syndrome- the deadly disease harming thousands of hibernating bats! Take the time to read through our safety tips, and share them with others! The more educated everyone becomes about how to protect bats, the greater chance we have of protecting this endangered species. #Batchat #Bringbackthebats

Bats are very important! Bats have numerous benefits to our environment and the planet as a whole. This poster explains the exact benefits bats have, what would happen if we didn’t have bats, and how bats prove themselves to be a keystone species. Read more to learn about the importance of bats. #Batchat #Bringbackthebats

Good Luck to the Varsity Girls Track & Field at sectional tonight! Sectional is at Perry Central and begins at 5:00 p.m.

Have you recently been traveling to any caves? If so, do you wear different clothes into each cave or make sure your clothes are sterilized? If not, you could be spreading white nosed syndrome, a deadly disease for bats. Read more to learn about the impact white nose syndrome has on the bat population and the reason you should sterilize your clothing before going into a cave. #Batchat #Bringbackthebats

Perry Central Commodore AP Biology students, led by Associate Bat Biologist, Kelsey Poehlein, participated in a project-based learning activity where they researched bats and why they are vital for our environment; 5 different groups will be sharing public service announcements to spread awareness about bats. Tell us if you’ve learned something new! Bats: Vital, Not Villains. #Batchat #Bringbackthebats

Perry Central youth softball program will be held this Fall for students in Kindergarten-8th grade for the 2025-2026 school year. The season will begin in August and run through mid-October. Registration forms will be available later this summer and at the Back-to-School cookout.

Congratulations to our Health Career students for passing their CNA exam! Thank you to Mrs. Kendra Butkauskas for your commitment and guidance to the students!

We want to thank everyone that came out to support the softball team during Saturday’s scavenger hunt! The event was a big success, and fun was had by all. Thanks to your generosity, we also collected several bags and cans of dog and cat food, which will be donated to the local animal shelter.

Junior High students worked together on Friday to serve their community in the morning and then held their semester competition in the afternoon. Teams helped at Anderson Woods, Oakwood, Derby Park, a local golf-course and school! They also held a bake sale and car wash for a donation to the Ronald McDonald House. The afternoon was a mean game of capture the flag, art competition, video game competition and a dunk tank! What a great day!
