Don't forget our next Parent/Caregiver Support Group is Thursday, April 2nd! Join us and connect with other caregivers in our community. This is a safe and welcoming space where you can share as much or as little as you’d like about your parenting journey—the successes, the struggles, helpful resources, and everything in between. The group is open to all caregivers in Perry County, including parents, grandparents, foster parents, and anyone raising or caring for children. We will meet every other Thursday from 4:30–5:30 p.m. CST, and dinner will be served. Lights On will be available for Perry Central students, and childcare will also be provided for children who do not attend Perry Central. To reserve your spot, please email or call Michelle Faulkner at mfaulkner@pccommodores.org or 812-843-5122 so we can plan accordingly for dinner and childcare. We hope you’ll join us, you are not alone on this journey!

The Communication Café and Rolling Pragmatic Pantry teamed up with the Elementary Surprise & Delight team to bring a fun pre–Spring Break treat around the school! Our speech students helped deliver the treats while practicing their s-blend sounds and communication skills. As they visited classrooms and staff, they shared instructions and interacted with everyone as part of their speech activities. We’re proud of the hard work these students put into practicing their speech skills in real-life situations while spreading a little joy before Spring Break! #PCCommodores

Our 6th graders held their annual science fair today! It was awesome to see all the creative and innovative projects they presented. This conference focuses on fostering leadership, education, development, and career mentoring while helping students build confidence, resilience, and professional skills for future success. Congratulations to our BPA students! Lyla Schultz, Bryer Mullis, and Courtney Peter won the Financial Analysis competition for the second year in a row! Lyla also placed 2nd in the Individual Presentation. All three will be heading to Nationals in Nashville, TN this spring, and we are so proud of them! A special thank you to our BPA Advisor Mr. Ian Thackrey for the hard work and dedication he puts into preparing our students for success. #PCCommodores

Special thanks to Owensboro Community College for sharing their Vet Tech program, Gary Greubel at Waupaca Foundry for helping us learn more about OSHA, and our teachers, Tim Ball and Josh Craney, for leading hands-on lessons in vehicle electrical systems, drywall, and electrical skills.

It was a great week of career exploration and hands-on learning for our students. We appreciate our community partners and teachers who share their expertise and help prepare our students for the future! #PCCommodores

Our Spanish Academic Team had a great day at the USI Language Bowl this past Monday! They answered 17 out of 20 questions correctly, just one point shy of first place. The students also enjoyed watching our skit team perform and catching up with PC alumni. Everyone represented our school with pride! A huge thank you to Frau Hagedorn for making this memorable experience possible for our students. #PCCommodores

Family Open Centers is next Tuesday, March 3rd! Family Open Centers is a welcoming opportunity for parents and caregivers of children from birth through school age to connect, play, and socialize together. Open Centers are held on the first Tuesday of each month from 9:00-10:30 a.m. CST in the lower level of the Dome Lobby. Breakfast will be provided, along with a music activity.
