Congratulations to Mrs. Alyssa Howe and Mrs. Tory Woznicki who were winners of the $500 Amazon classroom wish list from MasterBrand. They were nominated and are the Perry County Winners!

Junior High students participated in a Community Service Day last Friday! Students helped at Anderson Woods, made meals and froze them for families in need, cleaned up debris on Tipsaw beach, spread mulch at Perry ChildCare and so much more. Thanks to our teachers for their leadership! Our students are such hard workers and overall just great humans! “There is more happiness in giving than receiving!” #good2bgreen

Instrument Try-Out night for any 5th grader interested in joining band next year will be on Thursday, May 11 any time between 3:00-6:00 p.m. in the band room. Students must be accompanied by an adult.

Levi Clark and the STAND members will be hosting a Mock Car Crash tomorrow, May 4th in preparation for prom this weekend. The car crash simulates what could happen in a drunk driving incident. Many community members who are EMS volunteers as well as law enforcement will be on site at Perry Central to help as well. We appreciate their efforts to impress upon our students the seriousness of drunk driving.

The boys varsity baseball team is on a hot streak, beating their last 8 opponents by a combined score of 93-20. The teams they’ve beaten on the streak include North Harrison, Cannelton, and Clarksville as well as conference opponents Paoli (twice), Mitchell, Orleans, and Crawford County. The secret to their success is likely their strong performance on offense (averaging over 10 runs a game), paired with some stout defensive plays. The players have been building their team chemistry since conditioning started and plan to come in and play their game against conference rival Springs Valley this Thursday. The Commodores are 4-0 in the conference and a win against Springs Valley would put them a step closer to their goal of the title of 2023 PLAC Champions. We wish the boys’ team all the best!
