College Go! Week is an annual, statewide event to promote students thinking about college and their futures. College includes any training above a high school diploma. And students are encouraged to explore careers and the various types of training post-high school. We want students to know how to connect their career goals with their next steps after high school.

College Go! Week is here! And we will be sharing more throughout the week. It's also #CollegeApplicationWeek! Many colleges, including UofL, are waiving their application fees. Students can visit the Application Station in the HS Library during the school day this coming week for help filling out applications. The first wave of application deadlines are usually November 1st - be on the lookout for deadlines for where you plan to apply!

Bryce Lain came to visit our AVID student to make connections about his careers as a DJ and a real estate agent. He shared that he still uses most of the classes he took at Perry Central in some facet in his current job.

Our thanks to the community and the Perry County Chamber for a wonderful celebration of the new fieldhouse and classroom addition at Perry Central! This community has been so supportive of the building project, knowing that it will serve students for years to come. One of the things that makes it extra special to us is that we had so many of our own graduates help to build it. Our thanks to the following PC alumni for their knowledge, care, and craftmanship: Evan Adkins, Ivan Bland, Andrew Blum, Kyle Blum, Chris Briggeman, Troy Cronin, Jeremy Edwards, Tim Edwards, Glenn Etienne, Dakota Foerster, Ryan Hanan, AJ Hubert, Jason Hubert, Scott Hubert, Travis Hubert, Larry James, Dennis Kemp, Morgan Kemp, Murray Labhart, Hannah Hubert Steen, Jaron Underhill, and Charles Logan Weatherholt. #good2bgreen

We're giving a shout out to the varsity football team who spent time with elementary students on Friday reading books and doing activities with our youngest Commodores! These young men are learning how to be role models on and off the field! #good2bgreen

Perry Central 6-8th grade AVID students went on a field trip today to EverBodys Fitness in Tell City do some teambuilding with Tony Miller. Students had a wonderful time getting to see what it’s like to own a gym and what it is all used for. Also, they traveled to the Perry County Council On Aging Building and helped them organize chairs, stuff envelopes, and dance with the retired folk that came for the Fiesta. Students interacted with the adults and one student even showed them his break dancing.
