IMPORTANT NEWS ~   

The 3rd Quarter Honor Roll list is posted on the bulletin board outside the HS office.  Students should check the list.  If a correction needs to be made, please contact Sheila in the HS office.

Reminder to all 4-H members who show animals at the fair that the YQCA training will be in Mrs. Guillaume’s room during lunch and WIN today.  We will call you out to get your tray & eat in her classroom.

NOTICE:  Water will be shut off in the bus garage today for repairs.  This includes restrooms, so students should use the restroom before going to the bus garage today.

Perry County Memorial Hospital is offering FREE CPR and AED certification after school at Perry Central.  The class will consist of 2 hour classes for 2 days.  Please contact Michelle Duncan mduncan@pccommodores.org or call 812-843-5122.  Class is limited to 12 people.

There will be no school tomorrow due to Good Friday.  Students will also be out of school on Monday, April 1st, for a Professional Development Day.  

March is "Youth Art Month" and the Perry County Library is showcasing artwork from Perry Central's Art Department through the end of the month.  Stop by to see all of the amazing drawings, paintings, fibers, and ceramics created by our students. The artworks will be on display through the end of March..  

The Spring Fling for grades 7 & 8 will be held on Saturday, April 6th from 7:30-10:30 p.m. in the cafetorium.  Admission is $10.  Sponsored by the Education Foundation.  Out-of-school date forms are in the pockets outside the office.

No bookmobile this month.  It is still in the shop.  There is a return basket in the elementary library for anyone needing/wanting to return bookmobile books.  

You may still purchase a 2024 Yearbook until Friday, April 5th.  Checks should be made payable to Perry Central Yearbook. Price is now $75.  Order forms are in the HS wall pockets.

NOTE:  Ice Cream will be sold on Fridays in the cafeteria by the 7th grade Business class ($1.00 each) during the 2nd half of each lunch period. 

ATTN: Juniors & Seniors - If you plan to attend After Prom this year, please complete the google sign-up form. Permission slip forms must be turned in, before you can attend After Prom. Copies are available in the wall pockets outside the HS Office or can also be downloaded. If you have any questions, please see Kristi Etienne in the Central Office.

ATHLETIC INFO ~ 

The varsity boys/girls track team will travel to Paoli for a meet today at 4:30 p.m.

The varsity softball team will host Owensboro for a game today at 5:30 p.m.

The varsity boys baseball team will host South Spencer tomorrow at 5 p.m.

The 7th/8th grade softball team will host Paoli tomorrow at 5 p.m.

The varsity softball team will travel to North Harrison for the Corydon Tourney on Sat., March 30.

The varsity baseball team will host Corydon on Saturday, March 30th, at 11 a.m.

The 7th/8th grade baseball game vs. Gibson Southern for Sat., March 30th, has been canceled. 

The varsity golf team will travel to Springs Valley for a match at 12 noon on Sat., March 30th.

Commodore Camo Brigade shirts are on sale in the office for $10.  All sizes are available.  A sample is hanging in the HS office window.

We now have weight room supervision from 3-5 p.m. Monday through Thursday.  This is open to all students, staff, and the community.

COMMUNITY NEWS ~

Blood Drive - Perry Central Stage/Cafetorium on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 from 9 a.m.- 2 p.m.  Please donate and help PC Senior, Lilly Hurm earn a scholarship.  Make your appointment on the American Red Cross Blood Donor App. Visit the App StoreSM or Google PlayTM store, or text BLOODAPP to 90999 or call 1-800-RED Cross.  Also, 7th, 8th & 9th graders, there are papers in the wall pockets for parental sign-up.  If the paper is returned, the student will earn a prize.

Perry Central is hosting two different events to educate parents about new technology to keep their children safe and stay involved in their academics. Events will take place from 6 - 7:30 p.m. in the Elementary Cafeteria. Cyber Smart will be on April 2nd and Digital Tools 101 will be on April 9th. A light meal will be provided for both nights. Cyber Smart: Keeping Students Safe in an Online World is a workshop for parents to learn about the technology their children are navigating and how to help them stay safe.
Digital Tools 101 workshop is about digital tools related to your child’s education, focused on improving home-school communications.

German American Bank offers Perry Central School Spirit debit cards.  The bank donates $.02 to Perry Central for every debit card transaction.  If you currently have a GAB debit card, there is no charge to switch to a PC School Spirit card.   The cards are printed at any location in just a few minutes.
