Our families are the heart of the Perry Central community.  Family Outreach celebrates them with a variety of events and programs. These are based on what parents have told us they want or need.  Some Family Outreach programs help families learn about important topics like achieving educational success or maintaining family wellness while others are designed to honor veterans or grandparents.  Each year we have programs where families can spend time together listening to music, making crafts and exercising and having fun as a family.  To help busy families on tight schedules many of the programs include a free meal. 
Outreach is also concerned with families in need and works to insure that needy students have what they need for school success through special projects like our school supply bank and food drives.

To make sure families know what is going on at Perry Central we have a monthly newsletter with upcoming events that is available on the school website and emailed to all families.

SPECIAL OUTREACH PROJECTS

Helping Families in Need ~ We assist students in need through our school supply bank, Holiday Helpers, Stuff the Bus, food drives and our weekend backpack food for kids program (a bag packed with non-perishable food for the weekend is placed on qualifying students' buses each Friday for them to pick up as they get off the bus). Volunteering ~ If you are interested in volunteering in any way at Perry Central, please make sure you have completed a Volunteer Form. Forms are available in both offices. A simple background check is run on all adults who volunteer at Perry Central. Some examples of volunteering include room parents, field trip chaperones, working special events and mentoring.
