Commodore Manufacturing

Commodore Manufacturing is a work-based learning program for students interested in the Advanced Manufacturing pathways. We have been in operation for two and a half years and we are active during both school and summer months. Commodore Manufacturing is an amazing way for students to directly apply skills learned in the classroom to a hands-on production environment.

Commodore Manufacturing specializes in producing products for local businesses and companies. We are able to do this by receiving supplies from the businesses and companies we partner in order to prepare the product for consumer use. Commodore Manufacturing looks forward to assisting other local businesses with other projects that

will help students understand the processes and challenges that businesses face when taking a product from concept to delivery and to the customer.

Currently, Commodore Manufacturing is completing projects for Waupaca Foundry, Jasper Engines, along with their own sign business producing custom signs for individuals and businesses with our cnc plasma table. . Some examples of these projects include slag tools and firehose clamps for Waupaca, United States Postal door panels panels for Jasper Engines and custom sign work for individuals and businesses.

We feel fortunate to offer this special learning environment for students to apply what they have learned in the classroom and then see the application result in a tangible product, that they can take pride in. We are also very thankful for the local business partners who have helped us to see this program become a reality and who will continue to help us grow Commodore Manufacturing into a first-class manufacturing facility.
