Jody French, Principal
Welcome to Perry Central Jr./Sr. High School!
Perry Central Jr./Sr. High School is committed to providing your children with the best educational opportunities possible! We work hard to ensure that every student can be successful in the global world. We stand by our mission statement, "Building tomorrow's potential . . .today." We realize that a strong educational foundation is important for each child. Our faculty and staff work diligently to serve each student academically, emotionally and socially by providing research based instructional practices, personal guidance and leadership opportunities.
Perry Central encourages all students to pursue post-secondary training in pursuit of certifications, apprenticeships, or a two or four year college degrees. We provide numerous opportunities such as dual credits, partnerships with the local Ivy Tech campus and Advanced Placement courses. We are working diligently with local business and industry to provide internship and certification opportunities for students while they are in high school. We are also excited about advancing students' exposure to technology to help prepare them for the changing workforce.
It is an exciting time to be in education as we move our students forward and prepare them for the 21st century. Please feel free to contact me with any concerns or idea you have to make our programs better. I am so glad you have chosen to be a part of the Perry Central family.
Phil Zellers, Assistant Principal
Perry Central Jr./Sr. High School is an innovative school that creatively thinks outside the box of the traditional school setting to provide unique experiences and opportunities for our students.
Our faculty and staff are committed to meeting students where they are and providing them with the tools and skills necessary to be successful in today’s ever-changing world.
In an effort to continue building a positive and safe learning environment, we have adopted a Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports program (PBIS). This is a school-wide effort to provide a clear system for expected behaviors and positive reinforcements. At Perry Central, we believe that teaching students life and career skills, such as work ethic, is as important as teaching academic skills. Our PBIS initiative, in conjunction with other, already existing programs, gives us the opportunity to teach these skills alongside our rigorous academic standards.
We value the input of all of our stakeholders as we work to build an environment of continuous learning and improvement. I’d be happy to answer any of your questions or listen to any ideas you may have. Thank you for being a part of the Perry Central community!
