NEUROMAKER CREATIVE CHALLENGE
PCHS students competed in the National NeuroMaker Creative Challenge sponsored by BrainCo and the Harvard Innovation Lab. Students were challenged to choose a socially conscious engineering problem around prosthetics. They researched the problem, designed a solution and created a physical prototype. The Perry Central team of Cole Johnson, Carissa Meyer, Cole Hess and Katelyn Howell focused its research on sensors in the fingertips of prosthetics.
ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING
3-D PRINTING
Perry Central Junior-Senior High School is one of only a few high schools in the nation to provide a certification in Additive Manufacturing - 3D Printing. With two state-of-the art 3D printers on site, students can earn an industry credential in high school that can lead to a high paying job immediately upon graduation. In addition, students are contributing to their community by designing and creating custom products that make a difference in people's lives.
PC CARES
Perry Central Elementary Student Council raises money each year for books for classroom libraries. In addition, they partner with the Jr.-Sr. High School to collect food for a holiday food drive. These efforts result in over 150 families being provided food to make their holidays more festive. The philanthropic efforts of our student council groups are appreciated by the community!
