Perry Central Elementary Announcements August 21, 2019 *** Friday will be 50 cent hat day for students, also 50 cent jean day for teachers Ice cream will be sold for $ 1.00 *** Reminder: Please label jackets, lunch boxes, and backpacks with student names. Also when sending notes please include Child's name and teacher. **** Attention 3rd and 4th grade football. Mr Phillp Ball said you will have Full Pad practice on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of this week from 3:30 to 5:30. *** Outdoor Adventures is hosting a summer excursion to canoe on the Blue River on Sunday, August 25th. This will be from 12:00 noon to 6 pm departing and returning at Perry Central School. This is for students in grades 3-12 at any school. Parents may attend, if interested. The cost is $45, which includes transportation, canoeing, drinks, snacks and an evening supper. Please return the form and money to the office or Mrs. Hilgenhold by Wednesday, August 21st. Please make checks payable to Perry County 4-H Council. *** Lights-on is happy to host another year of Gymnastics for students. The workshop will be held from 4:00 to 5:00 pm each Tuesday beginning August 13th. Jennifer Mitchell and Eryn Sommer will be the leaders. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Mitchell or Ms. Dixie. *** We will have a 4th thru 8th grade softball clinic starting next Tues., Aug. 13th. The clinic will be on Tuesdays & Thursdays after school until 5 p.m. and end Thurs., Sept. 5th will be the last day. No charge - bring your cleats & glove. Order forms are available in the office pockets. Order forms with payment can be turned into the office. *** OLD T-SHIRTS PLEASE: Commodore manufacturing is in need of t-shirts, A LOT of t-shirts! We will take any and all cotton t-shirts any size and any color that you would like to donate to the class. They are starting a rag business and will be cutting the shirts into strips to distribute to other businesses. They will be selling them by 500 lb totes. We need a lot of t-shirts! Money made from the t-shirts will go to the students and a portion will go towards supplies for the operation. There is a small green shack behind the vocational building where they can be dropped off. Thanks for all your support!
IMMUNIZATION CLINICS: The Perry County Health Department holds Immunization clinics for vaccinations. Under-insured and Uninsured children's vaccinations given at $8/shot, however, no one is turned away for inability to pay. Commercially Insured Patients have two clinics: Monday 9-11 a.m. at Perry County Health Department by appointment only (call 812-547-2746) and at Perry County Memorial Hospital every 1st, 3rd and 5th Thursday of the month from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. by appointment only (call 547-0128).
