  • Parents - when sending notes, please remember to include the date, your child’s name and his/her teacher’s name.  Please label personal items as this helps in returning. All unclaimed items are donated each quarter.  Students, please check lost and found for your items!


  • Calls for student changes need to be made before 2:00 p.m.


  • Lights on is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday until 6:00 p.m. with evening bus routes.  Friday, Lights On is open until 5:00 p.m. - No Bus routes.  


  • Lights On is offering tutoring Monday-Thursday 3:10-4:10 p.m.  Contact Sarah Kelly at skelly@pccommodores.org for times available for grade levels.




  • Fall Break will be October 18th-22nd.  Hope everyone has a relaxing break!  Reminder that school will not be in session on Monday, October 25, this is a professional development day for staff.


  • Perry County 4-H is collecting caps and lids to make a bench for Carson Lasher, who was a 4-H member. You may bring them to the high school  gym or Mrs. Hilgenhold can pick them up from you.   We will need 10 fifty-five gallon trash bags full to make the bench.  The 4-H clubs are sorting the caps and lids once they are collected.  The bench will be placed at the Perry County 4-H Fairgrounds.  Thanks for your help!


  • Commodore manufacturing is making signs for the Christmas season. Metal or wooden monogram signs with certain customizable options. If interested there’s a google form with more information to place an order. Contact Mr. Schaefer for more information.


  • PC Volleyball is offering a Winter Skills Academy for Grades 3-8.  7 sessions focusing on the fundamentals of volleyball including passing, serving, hitting and digging and progressing to TEAM play.  

Dates:  December 5th, 12th, and 19th, January 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd

Times:  Youth (3-5th) - 12-1:30, JH (6-8th) - 1:30 - 3:30.  Cost is $40, payable to PCAF


  • Fall Break Event Sponsored by 4-H for youth in grades 3-12, on October 20th from 8:00 a.m. -4:00 p.m. outdoors at the fairground. Everyone needs to bring their own lunch. Cost is $5 plus 4-H program registration fee of $20. Forms are in the office.  If you would like to attend but can’t afford the cost please see one of the office staff or contact Cathy at boerste@purdue.edu.


  • Evolution Volleyball Club:  Grades 4-8 (We will form a Youth team and a JH Team). The season will begin at the end of January and conclude at the beginning of March.  We will practice approximately two times per week and will participate in 4-5 tournaments.  The number of tournaments will depend on the experience of the team.  Tryout and Parent/ Athlete Information meeting on Sunday, October 24th 5:00-6:30 in the High School Gym.  Please contact Coach Melissa James at 812-449-7306 if interested.


  • The cookie dough fall athletic fundraiser is going on now through October 27th.  Money will be turned in with the order forms.


  • Perry Central Boys Basketball camp. Camp for Grades 3-4 is October 11th-14th. 5:30 to 7 in theDome


  • 6th grade boys Basketball will start on Friday, October 15th from 3:00-5:00 p.m. in the Dome.  If you have any questions please see Jeff Litherland


  • The first quarter g. Report cards will be sent home on October 15th.


  • Plans are underway for our Fall Festival for Saturday, October 30th, 3-5 p.m.  Weather permitting this event will be located around the pavilion, otherwise the event will be held in the school.  More information will be made available closer to the event
