  • Parents - when sending notes, please remember to include the date, your child’s name and his/her teacher’s name.  Please label personal items as this helps in returning. All unclaimed items are donated each quarter.  Students, please check lost and found for your items!


  • Calls for student changes need to be made before 2:00 PM


  • Lights on is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday until 6:00 PM with evening bus routes.  Friday, Lights On is open until 5:00 PM - No Bus routes.  (Monthly Virtual days open until 5:00 PM, no bus routes)


  • Lights On is offering tutoring Monday-Thursday 3:00-5:00 PM.  Contact Sarah Kelly at skelly@pccommodores.org for times available for grade levels.




  • 2021 Adventures with Nature will be Saturday, June 26 from 9am-1pm at Tipsaw Lake Recreation Area. Letters will be sent home with students.


  • Under the Sea, Perry County Day Camp- Girls grades K-12 -June 8-10, 2021  9am - 4pm CDT at Camp Koch     Fee $20 if registered by May 14th.   Forms have been passed out, extra forms are in Elementary office


  • Any 5th grader interested in joining band next year needs to attend Instrument Sign-Up Night on Wednesday, May 12th between 3:00 and 6:30 in the bottom of the dome.  If anyone is unable to attend please contact Mrs. Clark so you are able to get signed up for band.


  • Mental Health Awareness Walk is scheduled for Friday, May 7th, 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Perry County Memorial Hospital Walking Path. Refreshments, Fun, Music and Information while walking for your health. Come join the fun, door prizes will be awarded.


  • 6th grade field trip is scheduled for May 26th at Lincoln Boyhood State Park


  • 1st grade field trip is scheduled for May 21st Silly Safari at Sycamore Springs


  • Kindergarten field trip is scheduled for May 19 to Patoka Lake


  • PC Elementary is looking forward to hosting Grandparents Day in conjunction with the Elementary Track Meet.  This will be a two day event.  Grades PK-2nd on Friday, May 14 (rainout date May 17th).  PK-TK session: 8:30-9:30; Kindergarten: 9:45-10:45; 2nd grade: 11:30-12:30; 1st grade: 12:45-1:45.  Grades 3rd-6th on Friday, May 21st (rainout date May 24th). 4th grade: 8:30-9:30; 3rd grade: 9:45-10:45; 6th grade: 11:30-12:30; 5th grade: 12:45-1:45.  Grandparents are asked to attend only the session concerning their student due to Covid guidelines.  Scholastic Book Fair Buy One-Get One will also be available.  All students are encouraged to remain at school. 


  • 2021 Girls 3-day Fundamental Basketball Camp.  Girls currently in grades 4-7 camp will be held June 1-3, 8am-10am in the high school gym. June 4 game at Heritage hills. Cost is $20 per camper. Forms and money are due by Friday, May 12, 2021 to Mr. Elliott or Elementary office.


  • If you have any extra chargers at home, in your locker or a classroom that you have been holding on to, please return them to the Tech Room. We are getting low and trying to make it through to the end of the school year.


  • Mr Gibson is announcing Football camp for current grades will be as listed below:

Grades 2-3-4-5  Will meet on Tuesday, May 11th & Wednesday, May 12th after school until 4:30  Students should report to lights on  Per Coach Gibson

Grade 6-7-8 will meet May 5th & 6th after school until 4:45


  • The meeting dates for the Robotics schedule for lights on are: May 4th, 11th, 18th.


  • Last day of school May 26, 2021


  • PC is collecting old PSC Phone Books. Please help us reach our goal of collecting over 1000 phone books.  All classrooms will receive a reward when we reach our goal. Phone books can be sent with students or dropped off at any office.  Last day for phone book donations, May 7th, 2021.  We have collected 900, Keep bringing them in to reach our goal!


  • Cheerleader tryout forms were given out to the 4th and 5th graders who will be next year 5th & 6th graders.  Tryout Practice is May 6th at 3:15-4:15pm.  A parent meeting will be at 4:15pm which will be held in the Elementary Commons.  Cheer tryouts will be May 13, at 3:30pm in the dome.   Questions please contact Mrs. Laci Lynton


  • Perry Central will be moving the youth softball program (Grades Kindergarten-6th) to a Fall schedule. In years past, this has been a spring/summer schedule and due to scheduling conflicts, this season will now begin next August and run through mid-October. More details will be sent out closer to the time.

  • Dixie is still collecting  aluminum can tabs  We will no longer be taking the markers for recycling.
