FAQ - Virtual & Hybrid Update 11/25/2020
NEW PROCEDURES FOR STUDENT DROP OFF & PICK UP
Morning Student Drop Off: Students may not be dropped off before 7:00 a.m. Students arriving between 7:00 and 7:35 a.m. will report to the dome (PK-6th) or gym (7th-12th) where they will sit quietly or read in an assigned seat. Students will go to their classrooms at 7:35.
Elementary students will need to be dropped off at the Elementary School entrance (by the dome). Enter the school property off of French Ridge Road (the Head Start entrance).
Junior-Senior High School students need t be dropped off at the lower gym entrance and will walk up the steps to the mail high school entrance (by high school office). Enter the school property off of Old State Road 37.
There will be a barricade placed between the two student drop-off points to aid in reducing the traffic of these two areas. Parents/Guardians will exit the campus on the same road they entered.
End-of-Day Student Pickup: At the end of the day, all students will be picked up at the lower dome doors OR the lower gym doors according to the following:
Grades PK-4 - lower dome entrance - pick up starts at 2:40
Grades 5-12 - lower gym entrance - pick up starts at 2:55
If you have children in both grade level spans, go to the location of your youngest child. For example, if you have a 5th grader and a 1st grader, you will pick up at the lower dome entrance.
If you have children in grades 5-12, please do not plan to pick them up before 2:55 because they will not be released until then.
The barricade will still be in place between pick up spots at the end of the day. We will be handling bus and student driver departure out of the Old State Rd 37 entrance.
The elementary office will release grades PK-4 students who get picked up from school daily at 2:40; however, students in grades 5-12 will not be released until 2:55 so if you have children in both buildings to pick up, you should plan your arrival at 2:55 so that you are not waiting.
Staff will be present at the end of the day to help direct parents to the correct location.
