The V/JV baseball team will host Heritage Hills today at 4:30 p.m. **** The varsity softball sectional begins at Forest Park (Cedar Crest) this evening. P.C. will play Tell City at 7 p.m. **** There will be a meeting tomorrow during WIN (11:23 a.m.) for all boys gr. 8-11 playing basketball next year. Meet in the locker room. **** Unified track team members need to turn in their uniforms to Coach Walsh. Also, see him to pick up your sectional ribbon. **** 7th grade summer volleyball calendars are available in the HS wall pockets. **** The HS Summer volleyball calendars are available in the HS wall pockets. **** Boys’ basketball Open Gym will begin today after school until 4:30 p.m. **** The HS track team is hosting a Track & Field Camp on June 19-23. Students entering grades 7-9 are invited. The cost is $20. There are two options for a time of the camp. Forms are in the wall pockets at the HS and elementary offices. Forms & money are due to the office by May 19th. **** Boys Basketball Camp forms for gr. 6-9 can be found in the HS wall pockets.

Locker Clean-out Schedule: Monday 12:05-12:25 p.m. 8th grade clean-out. Tuesday 12th Grade 8-8:20 a.m.; 11th Grade: 8:25-8:45 a.m.; 10th Grade 9:50-10:10 a.m.; 9th Grade 10:10-10:27 a.m.; and 7th Grade 10:35-10:55 a.m. **** Any Jr.-Sr. high school student wanting to participate in the Fall 2017 Spell Bowl competition, please stop by and see Mrs. Walsh by the end of the school year. Word lists and competition dates will be provided. **** Graduation practice for seniors will be Thurs., May 25th at 9:30 a.m. in the HS gym. Students should wear their graduation caps and gowns. If a student is going to decorate their mortarboard, it needs to be completed at that time for approval. After practice, students will have the opportunity to participate in a picnic lunch in Leopold Park. **** Students will need to turn in their computing devices to the technology office before the end of the semester. Seniors will need to turn in their laptops and chargers on or by May 22. Underclassmen will be called out by grade near the end of the block periods May 25 to turn in theirs. Students are responsible for the device being in proper order and the presence of the case (if applicable) and charger. Cost for items that are damaged or not returned:
**** Students need to pick up over the counter meds they have in the health office during the last week of school. Elementary students need to have their parents pick up their meds, if they are out near the end of school. Meds that are not picked up will be discarded after Fri., May 26th. **** SENIORS: There are a few extra Josten’s graduation announcements in the office for $1.25 each. **** Current 8th graders: Applications for ‘We the Youth of Perry County’ for 2017-18 are available in the HS wall pockets. **** Information is posted on the bulletin board outside the HS office for summer activities sponsored by the Girl Scouts of SW Indiana. Also, Girl Scouts of SW Indiana’s Perry Co. Tech Troop applications can be found in the HS wall pockets for (gr. 6-12). **** Information is available in the HS wall pockets about a 5K Dash for Dad on Sat., June 17th. You may register at Everbody’s or online at https://www.raceentry.com/races/dash-for-dass-5k/2017/register **** Information is posted on the bulletin board outside the HS office for Safe Sitter classes to be held on June 23 or June 26 at the Early Head Start Bldg. in Tell City. **** Sign-ups begin this week for the June session of Driver Education with Ruth Ory. Please call 812-568-8243. **** St. Mark’s 4-H Club will meet on Wed., May 24 from 6-7 p.m. at St. Mark’s Church.

SENIORS: Remember to turn in your Ivy Tech transcript request form to Mrs. Backer with your $5. **** Any senior who won one of the community scholarships, Mrs. Backer has thank you cards in her mailbox for you to send to the donors. **** There is free advanced manufacturing training for graduating seniors at Ivy Tech this summer that may help students obtain a job after high school. See Mrs. Backer, Mrs. Lubbehusen or Mrs. French, if interested. **** Any senior interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement or a related field, see Mrs. Backer for a scholarship opportunity. ****
