Special Announcements:


Scholarship night for seniors will be Wednesday, May 15th at 6:30.

The Purdue Research Park is offering an opportunity to incoming high school juniors and seniors who demonstrate an aptitude in the areas of math, science and technology along with an interest in entrepreneurship.  This year there are two locations: Purdue University's West Lafayette campus on June 23-28 and at the new location in New Albany, June 9-14.  See Mrs. Backer for information.

Murry State University offers a Cyber Cave Academy on the following dates this summer:  June 9-14 or June 23-28. A student will have the opportunity to earn 3 college credit hours at a cost of $100. Students will learn about telecommunications systems.  See Mrs. Backer for more information.

21st Century Scholars - 7th and 8th grade students can sign up for the 21st Century Scholars program.  21st Century Scholars is a scholarship program that pays for college tuition at any college in Indiana.  Students must meet income guidelines and agree to the 21st Century pledge.   For an on-line application click here.

Scholarship Information


 Merit scholarship (money awarded based on academic success from colleges) information is typically mailed to the student once they apply for the collegses of their choice.  Vist college websites for more scholarship information.  Students can also visit the following websites to search for state and national scholarships to apply for: www.scholarships.com, www.fastweb.com, www.finaid.org

Schergen's Scholarship - Local students with an ACT score of 19 can apply. 

IUPUI--incoming freshmen who apply for admission for fall 2013 by December 1, 2012 and meet the following criteria are offered an IUPUI Chancellor's Scholarship and direct admission to the IUPUI Honors College.  Must have a cumulative high school GPA of 3.75 and a minimum ACT composite score of 28 or SAT score of 1250 or highter (SAT critical reading and math scores combined).
High ability incoming freshmen can apply for IUPUI's may apply for other scholarships.  To learn more go to honorscollege.iupui.edu for a list of scholarships.  Visit by November 15.

GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program is offering $10,000 scholarships that may be renewable for up to 4 years for high school seniors in the US.  This opportunity is open to students who demonstrate the attributes of leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship similar to those exhibited by President Ronald Reagan.  For more information, visit www.reaganfoundation.org/scholarships

Indiana State University School of Business offers the Gongaware Scholarship.  This is full in-state tuition, personal laptop computer and a $3,000 professional development account.  For more information, visit www.indstate.edu/gongaware or call 812-237-2038.

The  Toyota Advanced Manufacturing Technician Program (AMT) includes a two-year  degree in Computer Integrated  Manufacturing: Robotics that
combines cutting-edge curriculum, paid working experience, along with learning
highly sought-after business principles and best practices of a world-class
manufacturer.
Students  earn a wage while attending college and gain priceless work experience with a global manufacturing leader. Over two years, students can earn as much as $30,000 in salary, which with planning can cover all of a student’s education expenses. There are also potential grants and financial aid.

The ESA Foundation Scholarships are now entirely on line.  Go to www.epsilonsigmaalpha.org/esaf to find the application and list of scholarships available by state.  Complete the applicaton and requirements on-line and submit for judging. 

The American Society for FQuality Evansville-Owensboro Section 0915 is again this year offering a $500 scholarship.  To apply go to the ASQ Section website at http://www.psci.net/asq915.   

The Indiana Oil and Gas Association has scholarship funds available to students entering college next fall.  The amount and number of scholarships depends on the applicants and available funds.  Applications and requirements are available on the Indiana Oil and Gas Association website at www.inora.org.

Most of the local scholarships are due on March 14th. Also we have a new scholarship available.

The Knights of Columbus Women's Auxiliary for $500. It is for all seniors--boys and girls. It is also due March 14th.


SENIORS -
Your first step to college is to apply! You will want to start filling out applications in late September or early October. More information will be available soon!

Make sure you are registered for the ACT or SAT if you do not have the scores you need.

It is highly recommended you schedule college visit!

In an effort to support 21st Century learning and provide students with opportunites to be college and career ready, Perry Central High School is partnerning with local businesses and organizations to create Internship opportunities for students in grades 11 or 12.  Please see a list of Internship opportunities below with a detailed description of the job.  Schedules will be flexible.  Students interested in applying for an Internship should fill out the application and submitt it to Mrs. French.
