First Day of School August 7th! 2018 GIRLS' FUNDAMENTALS BASKETBALL CAMP: There will be a girls basketball camp for students currently in grades 1-7th on Tuesday, May 29 - Friday, June 1. Grades and Times are: 1-2 Grades - 8:30 to 10:00 in the Dome, 3-4th Grades - 10:30 to 12:00 in the Dome and 5-7th Grades - 1:00 - 2:30 in the High School Gym. SPEED CAMP: The PCVB program is proud to host its annual Summer Speed Camp for athletes in grades 6 – 12 (2018-19 school year). The camp will focus on explosive speed, coordination and balance, multi-directional movement, and endurance and stamina. Cost is $30 per athlete for 4 weeks of workouts (every Monday and Wednesday in the month of June from 6:30 am – 7:45 am). Forms can be picked up at either the Elementary or HS Office. TRACK CAMP CHANGE:There was a conflict with the dates originally scheduled for track camp. The camp is now being moved to June 11-14 , from 5:30-7 in the evening on the track with the track meet at Heritage Hills on June 14 at 6:30. Camp times will still be the same. PCVB MSB JH CAMP: PCVB is hosting Melissa Starck-Bean for a THREE DAY Team camp with a focus on training the VOLLEYBALL skills passing, digging, blocking and hitting for 6, 7 & 8 Grades. Melissa is a former D1 volleyball player and coach at the University of Louisville. Camp will be held July 23 -25th from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. with an hour lunch break in the Perry Central HS Gym. Cost is $50 per athlete. For more information call Melissa James @ 812-449-7306. 6-7-8-9 BOYS BASKETBALL CAMP: Basketball camp for boys entering 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th grade next year will begin on Tuesday, May 29th - Friday June 1st. The 6th and 7th grade will have camp from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. and the 8th and 9th grade will be from 10:30 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. Camp will be held in the high school gym.
BOX TOP ICE CREAM: Anyone who turns in 25 box tops at the back to school cookout on August 2 will receive a free ice cream!
COMMODORE TABLE: Families are invited to come to PC and share a free meal once a month. The next meal will be held Tuesday, May 28. Meal is held in the cafeteria and starts at 5:30. p.m.
FREE FAMILY FIELD TRIP: Perry Central will be having a Free Family Field Trip to O'Bannon Woods on Friday, June 15 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We will visit the farmstead and nature center, picnic and go swimming in the pool. The trip is for students currently in preschool-6th grade. Parents are encouraged to come, ride the bus and serve as chaperones for small groups.
