MERKLEY MEAT FUNDRAISER: The Athletic Department is sponsoring a Merkley Meats Fundraiser. All students who participate in sports grades 5-12 are selling. Sales will run throughTues., March 26th. All orders and payments are due on March 26th. Checks can be made payable to PCAF. Delivery date for athletes in grades 5-8 will be Sat., April 13th and delivery for athletes in grades 9-12 will be on Sat., April 20th.
ROBOTICS CAMP: There will be a Robotics camp for students in 5th grade who are interested in learning more or joining the team next year. We will be learning about the challenge, practicing driving and coding the robots. There will be 5 sessions -March 5, 7, 11, 26 and on April 1. Interested students should sign up in Lights on those days. Camp meetings will last until 4:30. If anyone has questions please see or email Mr. Walsh.
MOMMY & ME DANCE: Stepping Stones Preschool is hosting a Mommy & Me Dance onFriday, April 5from 6-8 p.m. at the St. Augustine Parish Hall to celebrate kids and their Supermoms. Dance is open to all Moms and their children and will feature music, dancing, refreshments, prizes, free 5 X 7 photo and a free gift. Early bird registration by March 15th : $20.00 for Mommy and up to 2 children, $5.00 for each additional child. $25 after March 15th and at the door. Registration forms have been distributed and are available outside the elementary office.
CHALK ART FESTIVAL: Pick Perry is sponsoring the 1st Annual Chalk Art Contest on Saturday, May 4th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the 700 Block of Main Street, Tell City. There will be face painting, balloon art, food & drinks, chainsaw carving, stone art, lawn games, hopscotch, local artists and much more! For more info call Shannon Sprinkle 812-568-0157.
LOST SOMETHING?: If your student has lost anything please check across from the elementary library in our lost and found. We have many coats, hoodies, hats and gloves.
MARKER RECYCLING: Lights-On is going to start recycling all markers that are no longer usable. There will be a box for the markers in the Elementary Meeting Room or you can email Ms. Dixie & students will pick them up. Thank you for helping clean up our landfills!
PEDIATRICIAN AT PERRY COUNTY FAMILY PRACTICE: Perry County Family Practice, the clinic at the caution light across from Perry Central, has a pediatrician practicing now. Dr. Krystle Hahus is available all week and on Wednesdays till 6:00.
BOX TOPS ICE CREAM: Bring in 25 box tops and get a free $1 ice cream on Friday until the end of the school year! Thanks for your continued support.
PIANO LESSONS OFFERED: Sisa Watkins is a graduate from Boyce College with a B.S. in Worship and Music Studies with a concentration in piano, and is currently accepting new students. She has been teaching piano lessons for 6 years. She teaches ages 6 and up, and charges $20 for every 30 minute lesson and $25 for every 45 minute lesson. COMMODORE TABLE: Families are invited to come to PC and share a free meal once a month. The meal is usually held on the last Tuesday of the month in the cafeteria and starts at 5:30. p.m. The next session will be held onMarch 26.
BORN LEARNING: The next Born Learning program for families with children birth to 5 years will be held on March 26. Come early at 5 to hear from community partners. The dinner will be held at 5:30 in conjunction with the Commodore Table with the parent and children sessions to follow.
IMMUNIZATION CLINICS: The Perry County Health Department holds Immunization clinics for vaccinations. Under-insured and Uninsured children's vaccinations given at $8/shot, however, no one is turned away for inability to pay. Commercially Insured Patients have two clinics: Monday 9-11 a.m. at Perry County Health Department by appointment only (call 812-547-2746) and at Perry County Memorial Hospital every 1st, 3rd and 5th Thursday of the month from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. by appointment only (call 547-0128). Medicaid, Under-insured and Non-insured have two clinics: Mondays 1-4 p.m. walk-ins (check in by 3:30) at Perry County Health Department and Tuesdays 9 - 11 a.m. and 1-4 p.m. (check in by 3:30) walk ins at Perry County Health Department.
Enchanted Forest Event: Girls in grades K-6th are invited to the Enchanted Forest Event sponsored by the Girl Scouts of Southwest Indiana onSaturday, March 30 from 9:00 - 12:00 p.m. CST at the Spencer County 4-H Fair Grounds Community Building. Registration forms have been passed out and are available outside the elementary office. Registrations form and payment due by Wednesday, March 27th.
